For over 20 years, Dr. Joni Wallace has served Austin families with a restorative approach to dentistry focused on the “whole health” of her patients. She firmly believes that oral health is not isolated; it is inextricably linked to overall well-being.

Dr. Wallace takes a comprehensive approach, understanding that an infection or ailment in the mouth can sometimes indicate a larger, systemic issue that needs attention. By successfully addressing oral problems together, she often sees seemingly unrelated health concerns throughout the body greatly improved. This level of whole-life care requires building genuine, trusting relationships with her patients—a part of her practice she considers the most rewarding.

Commitment to Advanced Education and Expertise

Dr. Wallace’s extensive academic background laid the foundation for her commitment to excellence in dentistry:

  • She attended Texas Christian University (TCU) and graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Texas State University, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Biology while consistently making the President’s Honor Roll. During her undergraduate career, she received multiple distinctions, including President of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, President of Alpha Chi Honor Society and the “Most Outstanding Honor Student” award.
  • Dr. Wallace then attended the prestigious Baylor College of Dentistry, where she conducted extensive research and consistently earned a place on the Dean’s List.
  • She completed her post-doctoral residency at Baylor College of Dentistry, becoming certified in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). This intensive residency provided hands-on experience and training directly from the nation’s leading aesthetic and restorative dentists.

A Passionate Lifelong Learner Committed to Restorative Care

Dr. Wallace understands that staying current with advancements in dental technology is crucial to providing the best patient care. She is a passionate lifelong learner who continually seeks advanced knowledge in all areas of general and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, sedation, occlusion (bite science) and fixed prosthodontics.

To maintain her leadership in the field, she regularly attends postgraduate dental studies programs and seminars at some of the most prestigious dental institutions in the world, including:

  • The Kois Center in Seattle
  • The Pankey Institute in Florida
  • The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dentistry (LVI)

This dedication ensures that her patients always receive care based on the latest evidence-based techniques, from complex restorative work to meticulous cosmetic smile design.
